Quick answer
- The best scalping indicator filters by trend, times the entry on a stretch, and shows the take profit before you enter.
- Valhalla Scalper: a trend ribbon for direction, Buy 1 / Buy 2 levels for the next entries, and a π― Liquidity Target on the nearest daily or 4h high/low.
- Simple risk: a 1:1 stop from the target distance. Three tiers (circles, triangles, diamonds) let you pick your frequency.
Scalping punishes hesitation. You see the dip, you wonder if it's the dip, you wait one more candle, and the bounce is gone. Or worse: you buy, and you have no idea where to take profit, so a winning scalp turns into a scratch.
A scalping indicator has one job: tell you when to enter and where to get out, before you're in the trade. Here's how that works on TradingView.
What is the best scalping indicator for TradingView?
The best scalping indicator filters trades by trend, marks the entry when price stretches too far from its average, and shows the take profit before you enter. Valhalla Scalper does all three: a trend ribbon decides the direction, tiered markers time the entry, and a π― Liquidity Target on the nearest daily or 4h high/low marks the exit, with a simple 1:1 stop.
The whole system in 3 steps
Trend tells you the direction. The marker tells you when to enter. Liquidity tells you where to exit. Press play.

Step 1: Follow the trend
The trend ribbon is the filter. Green = only buy markers. Red = only sell markers. You never fight the trend. The default is an EMA 200 (SMA, VWAP, HMA and DEMA are available), and we recommend setting the trend timeframe higher than your chart, for example 1h on a 5m chart.
Step 2: Wait for the stretch
When price stretches too far from its average, it tends to snap back. The Scalper marks those moments in three tiers:
- β Circles (Tier 1): the most frequent, for experienced scalpers.
- β² Triangles (Tier 2): the sweet spot. Start here.
- β Diamonds (Tier 3): a big stretch with strong snap-back odds. Off by default. If price breaks through a diamond instead of snapping back, it can mark a trend change.
And you don't have to wait to see them. Buy 1 / Buy 2 (or Sell 1 / Sell 2) on the right edge show where the next marker of each tier would fire, before price gets there. Set your limit orders in advance.
Step 3: Exit at liquidity
Yellow lines mark the previous daily (solid) and 4-hour (dashed) highs and lows: where stops and orders pile up. The π― Liquidity Target label marks the nearest one in the trend direction. That's your take profit, marked before you even enter. The stop is a simple 1:1, based on the distance to that target. Once price moves through a level, it disappears.
Scalping 1m to 3m? Set the second liquidity slot to 1h or 15m for closer targets.
Which scalping settings should you start with?
- Tiers: triangles only if you're new; add circles once you're comfortable.
- Trend filter: EMA 200 on a higher timeframe than your chart (1h or 30m on a 5m chart).
- Liquidity: keep both slots on (daily + 4h).
- Alerts: they're off by default. Enable the tiers you use plus Liquidity TP Alerts, then create one alert with "Any alert() function call". You'll get messages like "π New Long TP Level: 4413.01".

FAQ
What is the best scalping indicator for TradingView?
One that filters by trend, times the entry and marks the exit before you're in. Valhalla Scalper uses a trend ribbon for direction, tiered markers for the entry, and a Liquidity Target on the nearest daily or 4h high/low for the take profit, with a 1:1 stop.
Which timeframe is best for scalping?
Most scalpers use 1m to 15m charts. With Valhalla Scalper, set the trend filter to a higher timeframe (for example 1h on a 5m chart), and on 1mβ3m charts lower the second liquidity slot to 1h or 15m for closer targets.
What do the circles, triangles and diamonds mean?
They're three tiers of stretch. Circles fire most often, triangles are the balanced sweet spot, and diamonds mark a big stretch with high snap-back odds. Start with triangles.
Where should I take profit when scalping?
At liquidity: the nearest daily or 4h high or low in the trend direction, where orders cluster. Valhalla Scalper marks it with the π― Liquidity Target label before you enter.
Does Valhalla Scalper repaint?
No. Markers and liquidity targets stay where they printed. Check it yourself with TradingView's Bar Replay.
Can I get scalping alerts on my phone?
Yes. Enable the tiers you use and the Liquidity TP alerts, then create one TradingView alert with "Any alert() function call". Lifetime members also get individual conditions for webhook automation.
